Cotton Club Sardinia
Sardinia, Italia
The beach club lies on a former water park, abandoned for the last ten years. The intervention was developed to avoid impactful modifications to the shape of the area, transforming the place more by taking away and reducing rather than adding. The result is a luxury beach club and the regeneration of a portion of coast in northern Sardinia.
The elements of the beach club feature natural and light, neutral colors, so as to be fully integrated into the landscape. The swimming pool is designed to resemble a natural pond and to dialogue with the surrounding sand dunes.
The project was developed by Oneworks as lead architect for Mangia’s and Hotel Investment Partners (HIP).
Mangia’s is an Italian hospitality brand operating in the upper-upscale segment. The brand manages 13 properties across Sicily and Sardinia, including 4 and 5 star resorts and club resorts. Mangia’s offers a collection of resorts and clubs designed for guests seeking an authentic Italian holiday experience.
Hotel Investment Partners (HIP) is the leading leisure hotel investor in Southern Europe, with a portfolio of more than 22,000 rooms across Spain, Italy, Greece and Portugal. Around 95% of its rooms are dedicated to the leisure market, while 71% are located in beachfront destinations. Structures are managed by some of world’s leading hospitality brands, including Marriott, Hyatt, Barceló, Meliá and Lopesan, among others.
