Hotel Berna Milano

Milan, Italy

Hotel Berna has a traditional Milanese character that makes it stand out among the hotels around Milano Centrale station. The client’s brief was to renovate the hotel while preserving its Milanese touch and keeping it open throughout the works.

In line with this approach, the reception, lobby, bar, breakfast room and some of the guest floors have been renovated in separate phases. The common areas have been refreshed by combining new elements, such as the flooring and freestanding furniture, with existing ones, such as the bar and reception counters.

The guest rooms have undergone a complete renovation, with a new layout and every element renewed. Their design is based on a contemporary interpretation of 1950s Milanese design. The works have been carried out in phases, so that the rest of the hotel could remain operational.
