PORTS1961 Paris Flagship Store
Paris, France
The flagship store in Rue Saint-Honoré marks the debut of the new Ports 1961 store concept that reflects the brand's renewed vision - under the guidance of artistic director Karl Templer - where character, individuality and pragmatism coexist. The concept features luxurious and authentic materials used in a contemporary manner that still evokes Parisian atmospheres, creating a sense of continuity with the architecture of the building in which the store is housed. The space was imagined as a neutral backdrop that allows distinct elements and objects to emerge. Within the project, the staircase plays a central role. It is the heart of the ground floor's composition, a modern reinterpretation of a classic French staircase. The introduction of iconic mid-twentieth-century design pieces pays homage to the brand's founder, Luke Tanabe, who shaped his vision of the rise of the modern woman during a time of cultural ferment and groundbreaking innovation in both fashion and design. The concept was developed in collaboration with Architect Enrica Pinna.
